About Anita Evenden
Hello, my name is Anita, welcome to my site. I am an experienced counsellor and have worked in an agency and in private practice for several years. Over that time I have developed an open and diverse approach to my work. I have worked regularly with neurodivergence and this has become an area of special interest and expertise. It can often be hard to express how we feel and find space to talk in our busy world today or find the right people to talk to. We all need some time to process and make real human connections. I offer a safe, empathetic space where you will be valued as an individual. I will work with you to help you understand yourself and reach the goals you have set. It can be hard to make the first step and decide to find a counsellor. If you have any questions or concerns, I would be happy to help.
I can work on a one to one basis with adults and young people (16+) looking at a range of issues including anxiety, stress, self-confidence, relationships and other life problems.
As a member of the BACP, I consider myself a professional with strong ethical values around how I work and relate to others. I’m an integrative counsellor so this means I work with whatever you bring to the sessions. My approach is warm, empathic and present. I value diversity and difference. How you feel is important to you will be valued and appreciated. I believe that you are able to reach your goals with support, whatever they may be.
